BLACK ELEPHANT

• Featured in Unsigned Music Magazine
• 2006 NACA Northern Plains Showcase
• 2006 NACA Mid-America Showcase

Having opened for De La Soul, Jurassic 5 and Faith Evans, Black Elephant has been said to be a conglomeration of intellect, insight, and ingenuity. This Milwaukee based hip-hop trio and their band are influenced in equal parts by old school soul, social activism and poetry and they share a unique vision for what hip-hop can be and how rich it can sound. It’s the onstage chemistry between the vocalists, the dynamic of a tight backing band and the group’s dedication to intelligent but entertaining song-craft that has made Black Elephant a star in the hip-hop community. Black Elephant has performed at the National Black Arts Festival, showcased 2005 NACA Mid-America Conference and 2006 NACA Northern Plains conference and has opened for national poet, Jessica Care Moore while continuing to solidify their status as one of Wisconsin’s hardest working hip-hop bands.
