In 2003, Barb and Zach were two college seniors facing the same concerns that most “soon to be” graduates struggle with. Uncertain and stressed out with resume rewrites and final classes they did what college students are known to do … they went out to a party. After a final game of Beirut and the last spin of Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” they started talking and were surprised to learn that they were in the same boat. Making music a career was something they were both contemplating but were hesitant to pursue. Little did they know what a lasting impact this seemingly ordinary conversation would have. Since graduation, they have self-produced a full-length acoustic album, Parallel Lines, and have been performing all over the east coast. Radio play, college shows, and regular New York City gigs have helped them acquire an ever-increasing fan base. Keep an eye on Causeway as a breakthrough duo in 2005.
