MARK MALLMAN
www.mallman.com
This largely ignored showman and shut-in, "Mall-Man" made the evening news in September of 2002 by playing a 26.2-hour song (titled, appropriately, "Marathon") in the tiny Clown Lounge of St. Paul's Turf Club. A friend says ex-Odd keyboardist Mark Mallman made club-going fun again this year, and his fans would certainly not argue. His live performances are incredible. Combining piano and guitar skills Mallman is able to create smart, catchy songs about life and love and the heartache in between. In an industry dominated by men with their acoustic guitars, Mark’s onstage antics at his piano are comparable to Ben Folds. His live solo show is full of high-energy movement and has propelled him into huge success in the Minneapolis independent scene. His solo piano performance is a breath-taking, show-stopping affair – Mallman puts his heart on the stage…and leaves it there!
NOTE: Mark Mallman is available either as a solo performer or with his full band.
