OPHIRA EISENBERG
• Comedy Central's Fresh Faces of Comedy 2005
A 2007 MAC (Manhattan Association of Clubs and Cabarets) Award Finalist for Best Female Comic, Ophira Eisenberg has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Fresh Faces of Comedy, VH-1's Best Week Ever and All Access, E! Channel and the Discovery Channel. Ophira performs regularly at renowned comedy clubs across the country and also tours with The Moth, a NYC storytelling phenomenon. One of her stories is featured the Moth’s “2006 Audience Favorites” CD. Ophira was selected by BackStage as one of "10 Standout Stand Ups Worth Watching" in their Spotlight on Comedy Issue and has also been hailed as a “Highly Recommended Favorite” by Time Out New York magazine. Her acting credits include The Overlookers (winner of Best Picture at the 2005 Canadian Film Festival and Best Feature Film at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival), Showtime's Queer As Folk, The Guardian (CBS), and the Oxygen Network. Recently, she wrote a chapter for the hit anthology I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America’s Top Comics alongside that of Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Dennis Miller and Joan Rivers. She is also a regular contributor for US Weekly's Fashion Police, Gawker.com, Msn.com, and has written and performed various sketches and webblogs for Comedynet.com.
