In 2005, Johnny Henry and Dave Schellenberg of SPUR were selected as one of the nation's Top 5 unsigned Country acts and performed at CRS 36 in Nashville during the "Next Big Thing" seminar before approximately 300 members of the Country radio and record label industry.

SPUR has opened concerts for Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Montgomery Gentry, Marty Stuart, Sugarland, Craig Morgan, Lee Ann Womack, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Emerson Drive, Phil Vassar, Jamie O'Neal, Eric Heatherly, JoDee Messina, Chely Wright, Gary Allan, Billy Currington, the Warren Brothers, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, Shooter Jennings, Hot Apple Pie, Shelly Fairchild, Blaine Larsen, Steve Azar, Bobby Pinson, Little Big Town, The Kinleys, Blue County, Ricochet, Charlie Robison, Bruce Robison, Blake Shelton, Trick Pony, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Josh Turner, Doug Stone, Junior Brown, Natalie Merchant, Better Than Ezra, John Mayer, Little Feat, Drive By Truckers, the Pat McGee Band, Chuck Berry, the Groobees, Sonia Dada, the Freddy Jones Band, April Wine, Sister 7, and Patty Griffin.

The guys are sought-after performers and have played at some amazing venues... Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, UMB Bank Pavilion, the Bluebird Cafe, Sheldon Concert Hall, Adelphia Coliseum, Mississippi Nights, The Blue Note, The Pageant, The Beaumont Club, InCahoots, Exit-In, Douglas Corner Cafe, On the Waterfront Festival, Palmer Arena, The Duck Room, Westport Playhouse... too many colleges, universities, fairs and festivals to list...

...performed concerts for radio friends like Mike Kennedy at Q104 in Kansas City, Steve Geofferies and John Helmkamp at 93.7 The Bull in St. Louis, the "Opry Star Spotlight" with Matthew Gillian at WSM-AM 650 in Nashville, Chuck Boone at KKDY in West Plains, MO, Mike Thomas and Steve Kaspar at KFAV in Warrenton, MO, and the Titans Radio Network in Nashville...

...were recognized with a certificate by the Nashville Songwriters Association International for their self-penned song "Lover Come Home", and won a grant from Jim Beam to provide financial support for the duo's promotional efforts...

...been hired by many corporate clients such as Jack Daniels, Anheuser Busch, Purina, and Frito-Lay... and have performed on live television for NBC and Fox affiliate stations.

Johnny and Dave have sung the National Anthem for the River City Rascals pro baseball team, the Kelly Chase & Tony Twist (St. Louis Blues) Charity Hockey game, and the Washington University women's softball team.

But much more important than the venues and the accolades are the folks that come to hear the music! The fans are at the heart of Spur. Johnny and Dave thank every person who has seen them live, listened to a song, or come up and said hello along the way. It's truly a blessing to play music and perform for the fans.
