Get to know the rest of the TCA team: Denise Wallace Heitkamp | Sue Boxrud | Coz Lindsay | Craig Heitkamp | Libby Watkins

Sue started at TCA in June of 2003 upon graduation from Luther College. A programmer herself in college, she was able to work with acts such as Jurrasic 5, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, and Blues Traveler. When Sue isn’t at work, she loves hanging out with her friends and family, knitting, brewing beer and wine, but most of all, spending time with her husband Drew and 2 dogs, Arizona and Pearl.

When I was young, I wanted to be:
A psychologist…some days I might qualify!

Favorite food:
Hmmm…this is tough – I think Mexican food tops the list.

Favorite movie:
High Fidelity – long live the mix tape!

Favorite CD/Album:
I have to do a top 5 (in no particular order):
Ryan Adams – Demolition
Spoon – GaGaGaGaGa
Mumford and Sons – Sigh No More
Great Big Sea – Road Rage
Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Favorite subject in school:
Algebra

Favorite book:
She’s Come Undone – Wally Lamb

Favorite TV show:
30 Rock, The Soup, Millionaire Matchmaker, Law and Order SVU – I’ve only had cable for a year, so I’m loving ALL of it!

Favorite sport:
FOOTBALL!!!!! SKOL VIKINGS!!!

Describe your perfect day:
A fall day in Minnesota - I'd get up around 8am and head out to tailgate for an 11am college football game with Drew (Wisconsin vs. Minnesota - with Bucky winning obviously), home for a walk around the lake with our dogs, and finish it off with friends, a BBQ, homebrew and a bonfire.

Alma mater:
Luther College – 2003 – Soli, Deo, Gloria

Proudest Accomplishment or Award:
NACA Red Team Kickball Champion (2 years running) / 4th Place for our Rhubarb Wine at the Minnesota State Fair

Why do you like your job?
Every day is different – I may be pulling out my hair because I had to cancel 7 shows on account of snow in Dallas, and then next day I might get to guide a student through their first booking experience. As a former programmer, I still get a thrill out of a successful show and proud, happy students!

Family:
I’m blessed with a big crazy family – I’m the youngest of 4 and my siblings are 13, 15, and 17 years older than me. I have a niece and two nephews all in the mid-west and my parents split their time between Eau Claire, WI (where I grew up) and Bonita Springs, FL. Drew and I are yet to have kids, but our two dogs outweigh most children I know (unless they’re in high school).
