Spice It Up gives students the chance to get creative, explore flavors from around the world, and create their very own signature seasoning to transform an ordinary college meal into something extraordinary, without adding all the extra calories. Led by Lee “El Gringuito” Kat “La Gata” and our team of Foodpreneurs, the creators of Gringuito Sauce®, A Flavor Fiesta in a Bottle® Rubs, and other food products sold around the world, Spice It Up is part cooking experience, part educational adventure, and 100% delicious.
Here's How It Works: First, students are introduced to the fascinating world of spices and seasonings. They’ll learn about their origins, discover how they’re used in different cultures, and have the opportunity to ask questions while sampling unique ingredients like New Mexico ground peppers, sumac, palm sugar, and more. Then comes the fun part! Students become Foodpreneurs themselves as they mix, match, experiment, and create their own unique seasoning blend. They’ll take their custom creation with them and use it to kick up their next college meal. Because let’s face it... Ramen noodles, cold pizza, and dining hall food can only be so exciting. Spice It Up is the spiciest, sweetest, most educational, worldly, creative, and downright yummy experience on the college market!

What our clients have to say...
The Spice it Up program was a fantastic addition to our multiculturally focused event, Culture Fest! We were able to choose three different spices recipes from different regions of the world (Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa) for students to make and customize. Lee and his team were wonderful to work with, and he provided such a wonderful interactive element to the program. The ambiance of the Spice it Up area was everything that we had hoped for, and many students during and after the event expressed to us just how much they enjoyed it!

Lee and Spice It Up were awesome! He is great at engaging students passing by and getting them to come to participate. He is always professional and friendly. Setting up and break down is painless. Where a lot of vendors come and run an event and leave, he is also really good at networking and forming/maintaining relationships with the school when he comes here. He was great working with us on those spice blends and was excited to try new ones with us! He gets them to learn spice facts and makes it really fun. The Salsa Magic event was so much fun, and he even got my son (who goes here) to get up and dance with me, so it was a fun night for everyone. Students had a blast learning the moves and he kept us laughing all night long.
